The fall is a beautiful time of year to say the least, and it is a wonderful time to have a wedding. Thoughts of new beginnings come to mind when one thinks of the fall. Maybe it is because of the trees losing their leaves and becoming bare before the spring when they will bear new leaves and have a new beginning. This sequence almost sounds like the process of getting married and having kids, as you shed your old life (the single life) for the prospect of “bearing new leaves” (having children and living a married life with your spouse).

So you have decided you want to have a fall wedding but you are not sure what kind of wedding you want to have, or where you are going to have it. Do you want it indoors? Do you want to have a formal wedding or a non-formal wedding? Well considering you are having a fall wedding, it would be best to have your wedding outdoors, to capture the true beauty of the autumn colors. Also, it would probably be better to have a non-formal wedding considering it will be outdoors, but this decision is entirely up to you.

So you now have decided whether your wedding will be formal or non-formal, indoors or outdoors. Now it is time to decide what type of setting you would like your wedding to be in. Good places for a fall wedding would be an old barn, maybe a vineyard or an orchard of some sort, of course a church, or maybe even just a large house. Any place with a fireplace is a plus. There is something about a fireplace that accents the autumn perfectly. It would also give the children guests something to roast marshmellows on!

When you decorate your fall wedding, you will want to make sure you are suing all of the fall colors, including all of the browns, reds, oranges and yellows. You want your wedding to blend in with the beauty of the fall. It may even be a good idea to fill the reception area with fruits and veggies of the season, including pumpkins, cornucopias, acorns and squashes. Anything that you can do to add personality to your wedding is a plus. Fall weddings are about taking advantage of the season, and using the beauty of your surroundings to make your wedding just as beautiful.
